Jeff Byrnes is the principal of Mountain Meadow Elementary in the White River School District in Buckley, Washington. With over 20 years of experience in elementary education, Jeff specializes in the implementation of professional learning communities and multitiered systems of supports. He is certified to lead in Professional Learning Communities (PLC) at Work® and Response to Intervention (RTI) at Work™. He has also served as a teacher, assistant principal, and principal in Arizona and Washington.

Mountain Meadow was recognized as a Model PLC at Work school in 2016 and was named a finalist for the DuFour Award in 2019. In 2024, Mountain Meadow was recognized as an Ambassador Model PLC at Work school based on their high levels of student achievement and their ongoing support of other schools and districts. From 2021–2023, Mountain Meadow was the highest performing elementary school in Pierce County, Washington.

Mountain Meadow welcomes teachers, administrators, and district leaders to observe their professional learning communities throughout the year.
