Shawn Creswell
Shawn Creswell, author and presenter, has over 25 years of experience in education and has served as a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal of two campuses, and district director of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. She is currently a school board member in her community.
Shawn Creswell
Shawn Creswell, an author and presenter, works with educators to implement the Professional Learning Communities (PLC) at Work® process and Yes We Can! With over 25 years of experience in education, she has opened a new preK–6 campus and served as a classroom teacher, middle school assistant principal, principal of a K–6 campus, and district director of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. She also serves as a school board member in the community where she resides to support educators, students, and their families in continuous school improvement efforts.
Shawn is an experienced administrator who is passionate about exceptional learning and growth for all students. She is committed to adding value to every child and believes this can be accomplished in all schools. Shawn has worked in both urban and suburban settings and has the knowledge and expertise to help transform schools.
Under Shawn’s leadership as principal, Coulson Tough K–6 School in Texas received certification as a High Reliability School at Level 1 in 2019 and at Level 2 in 2020. Through the implementation of the PLC at Work process, Coulson Tough had dramatic and sustained student growth during the six years Shawn was campus principal. In the spring of 2020, Coulson Tough was recognized as a Model PLC at Work school through Solution Tree. In addition, Coulson Tough was the second school in the United States to receive distinctions as both a High Reliability School and Model PLC at Work school.
Shawn earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Illinois State University and a master’s degree in educational administration from Sam Houston State University.
